Capelin Earrings

These earrings are inspired by the annual capelin roll that occurs in early summer along many coastal areas in Newfoundland. Each earring features two tiny silver capelin, carefully cut and shaped by hand. These are soldered onto a textured hoop created by hammering silver against rocks Bonavista, NL.
The simple, clean lines of Claire’s designs create an elegance that can be worn with ease everyday and special occasions. Each design is made by hand with a high level of care and craftsmanship.
The earrings are made of sterling silver, and measures approximately 2 cm in diameter.
Capelin Earrings
Born and raised in Nova Scotia, K. Claire MacDonald now lives in Bonavista, Newfoundland, where she works out of her jewellery studio and shop, Kind Seas.
