“We stopped by the Alberta Raptor Centre on our road trip across Canada, where they have a fantastic captive breeding program for the burrowing owl. This print is unmatted and has been produced using archival, pigmented inks engineered to last over 130 years. It comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Medium of original composition: Coloured pencil and acrylic
Print dimensions: The print paper is 13″ x 19″. The image itself is slightly smaller and generally requires a mat board with an opening of approximately 12” x 16”.

Birds and animals are seldom random or vague; they are focused on their world with real intensity. It is this intensity I want to capture. When you encounter a wild thing in its own habitat there is a moment when you regard it and it regards you and the rest of the world just becomes background.
